INTRODUCTION:-
Ø Bitter gourd is an important vegetable crop
and is grown for its immature tuberous fruits which have a unique bitter taste.
Ø Fruits are known to be a rich source of
vitamins and minerals and 88 milligrams of vitamin C per 100 grams.
Ø The fruits are harvested, partially boiled
with salt and dried in direct sunlight and stored for months. It is used after
frying.
Ø The temperature range of 24*-27*C is
considered optimal for the growth of vines. When the temperature is below 18oC
